Remembering Dietmar Steiner

Dietmar Steiner, who sadly passed away in mid-May, was a leading voice on the contemporary architecture scene. Reinhard Kannonier, principal of the University of Art and Design Linz, described him in his foreword of Steiner’s Diary as a “chaotically fastidious researcher, instructor at the Academy of Applied Arts, editor of domus, long-time director of the Architekturzentrum Wien, and many other things, who possessed an unparalleled intellectual bandwidth and at the same time an imperturbable sharpness of sight into the depths and behind the scenes.” Photo © Simona Rota
