As part of the Brick Award, Wienerberger, the world's largest brick manufacturer, honors the most creative examples of modern and innovative brick architecture every two years. This year, Wienerberger presented the award for the tenth time. A total of 789 entries from 53 countries impressively document the international relevance of the Brick Award as an independent platform for innovative and contemporary brick architecture with a focus on innovative, resource-efficient and sustainable construction. Brick 22, published to coincide with the competition, shows the 50 nominated projects and the award-winning buildings. In total, five architectural firms from Ecuador, Switzerland, China and France were honoured for their ground-breaking brick architecture.
