With Typology, Christ & Gantenbein did present an impressive building typology of cities around the world, from Hong Kong to Buenos Aires and from Paris to Athens. With more than 340 examples, they offer a rich sourcebook of great practical value for students, lecturers and practitioners of architecture. Long out of print, the two books are now available again!
The German Stiftung Buchkunst has chosen its “25 Most Beautiful German Books of 2020” and we are happy to announce that our monograph Adrian Streich Architekten. Bauten und Projekte 2001–2019 is one of this year’s winners. The book by Axel Simon, André Bideau, and Adrian Streich was designed by Zurich-based designer Esther Rieser. The Jury says: “The immediacy of these splendid pages conveys the immense thought and care that went not only into the architects’ work, but also into the photographs presented here, the book design, and finally, its printing.”
The jury from the competition of the Best Book Design from all over the World 2020 judged 600 books from 31 countries from all over the world. We are very proud to announce that Entwurf einer architektonischen Gebäudelehre received the Gold Medal! The jury said "almost perfect [...] there was quick general agreement on this book, without any discussion".

The bookstore Never Stop Reading is located in Zurich's old town, only a few steps from the Kunsthaus, the University, and ETH. The store features a broad range of international publications on architecture, photography, art, and design, as well as a section of general-interest English books. The new spaces can be used for small exhibitions and we'll be hosting a diverse program of book launches, readings, panel discussions . . . We're looking forward to seeing you there!
