Sigurd Lewerentz: Architect of Death and Life

Sigurd Lewerentz: Architect of Death and Life

Sweden’s most revered architect Sigurd Lewerentz (1885–1975), regarded as one of the most important and enigmatic figures of modern European architecture, is the subject of this major new monograph. Newly researched from original objects and archival material uncovered across Sweden, featuring over 700 pages of photographs, drawings, and sketches with essays by leading experts, it shows the entire Sigurd Lewerentz: built and unrealized building designs, retail spaces, churches, cemeteries and landscape designs, exhibition architecture, graphic and product design, furniture and interiors.
«One of the most beautiful books of architecture you’ll buy this year, about one of the most important architects in the history of modern architecture. » Kieran Long, Director ArkDes
